i didn't hear what he said about jay-z, but whatever the circumstances, i wouldn't pay to see jay-z sing some soft music like that.

though that melody's kind of catchy...

    Haha, KING.

He said Jay-Z didn't belong there, especially as main act.

Noel Gallagher was right, Jay Z dont belong there, but it doesnt necessarily make it a bad thing. But think of it like this, would Oasis be accepted at Rock The Bells?

I think overall one or 2 acts that are totally left field from what else is on the bill would always be interesting as long as its good, and i hope Jay represented for hip hop as he always does

200.000 people (not to mention the people that watched it on tv) enjoyed it and threw their hands in the air, I think he represented hiphop well.

thats totally irrelevent cos Glastonbury is NOT exclusively rock event, it a MUSIC event, all different genres of music were represented there this year & in previous years, whereas Rock The Bells is a hip hop tour..........the reason he said Jay Z didnt belong there is not because he's rap/hip hop, its because he's on the commercial side of rap/hip hop, and if thats the case...Oasis dont belong there either, cos they're on the commercial side of indie/rock.....so Noel buttfucked himself on that one...

Jay Z absolutley rocked shit last night, big up to him, i thought the best part was when he said "so, they said you did'nt want me here" (something like that)....with 200,000 people stood in front of the stage, all vibing like fuck, it was beautiful......

on a similar note, did anyone see Jay Z on the Johnathan Ross show ??? that was some funny shit....

haha I watched that it was pretty fuckin funny. Everyone was all annoyed that he was there, then he just came out and gave a big "fuck you" to all of them lol. What i saw of it was a pretty good performance, but the backing music seemed a little too loud over his voice

Lol and did anyone hear when he said "for those of you who didn't get the memo, i'm jay z and i'm pretty fuckin awesome"

I liked it on Jonathon Ross when he was asked :

"So How Many Albums Have You Sold ?"

    "I Don't Know...1 or 2 or 3 or 50 Million"

"Wow Thats Quite Something Thats Pretty Impressive"

    "I'm A Big Deal"

Props to Jay on this one. I mean, I could jam out to quite a few Oasis songs, but Liam is a dick, so I'm glad Jay did what he did.

I actually thought the performance was pretty bad, but cool for Jay-Z trying something else.
