    I actually thought the performance was pretty bad, but cool for Jay-Z trying something else.

    ok yeah, his rendition of Wonderwall was'nt that great, but the rest of his set was pure flames...

    To me it seemed like he was trying to placate a bunch of rock fans too hard. He did all his hit singles and mixed in some rock samples. You can't tell me that during a regular set he'd drop a verse from 'Umbrella' or 'Hard Knock Life'. If I went to see him and he did the set that I saw I would be disappointed, because he has a much better catalog of songs to draw on than he demonstrated last night.

    Yeah, he usually does "Hard Knock Life".

    But it was a pretty rock-heavy performance.

    Hard Knock Life usually gets dropped, and seen as how Umbrella was a pretty big hit recently, why would'nt he perform it ?? yes i agree that he has much better material to draw from, but certain songs are'nt really the perform-them-live type of joints...
