Doc strangelove and 2001 are my favorite, followed by clockwork orange. But shining is excellent

nah i can think of a couple of other actors that wouldve also done a great job with the role jack played

and shelly duvalls acting wasnt bad at all

A Clockwork Orange definitely. The Shining was a good movie but I think it has the same problem most Stephen King movies have. If it would've followed the book alot more it would've been that much better. I personally think IT could have been a classic if it had followed the book 100%. Of course it couldn't cause IT was a tv movie but if it was remade now with a great director cutting out a few small bits from the book it has potential.

God, i def. change my vote to the Shining...from a filmmakers stand point..there so much more to take away from that film...and i enjoyed the Clockwork book more than movie, which is not the case with the shining..the opposite in fact.

clockwork orange for sure...there is lot of juxtaposition and visual 'easter eggs', it feels like a fully realized world and the story has more layers, it feels like it has more philosophical depth to it. 'the shining' feels like it doesn't have as much to 'say' by comparison.
