    Regardless of likelihood…

    OB4CL 3

Supreme Clientelle 2: Blue & Cream

    DOOMStarks / Swift & Changeable

Or another album I’m not thinking of, or forgetting.

What are your thoughts here in 2024?

Seems like Cuban Linx...III is the most realistic at the moment.

I think DoomStarks is the only one of those that would live up to the hype

Ghost already used alot of his verses from DoomStarks on other projects so Supreme 2 really....just cause of the hype !

Just realized this is Rae's biggest gap in between albums. Lex Diamond and Cuban Linx 2 was a 6-year gap. But now he's gone 7 years without an album. I can't believe The Wild came out in 2017. Seems like yesterday that album dropped.

I looked at his old interviews and he said he'll drop an album called "Scarlet Fever" first, then Cuban Linx 3 afterward

Where did you read that? Ghost has said that he wants to re-record his vocals as he feels he could deliver the verses better nowadays. That’s not the same as using the verses elsewhere. Are you confusing those two things?

I'd listen to Supreme 2 if Kanye produced it just to hear Ghost over different, more up to date production and maybe some bigger features. Would probably be odd like the Nas album Ye did, but I'm tired of hearing Wu trying to sound like they're in the 90s.

My bad ...I just meant a verse..his verse on R.A the rugged man Dragonfire was a Doomstarks verse

I don't know where you've been in the past 20 years but the Wu purposely tries NOT to sound like the 90s. That's why they called Cilva's Once Upon a Time in Shaolin project "too gloomy" and whatever. They NEED that 90s sound, but only people like Cilva are trying to get it. The Wu themselves have moved away from it

True if you're talking their solo albums. But I mainly listen to their group albums
which still sound like 90s RnB sample shit. But the only reason people want to hear Kanye produce Ghost is because they're both known for 70s soul samples. I want to hear Ghost rap over the beats Kanye has been using the last few years because Ye fell off lyrically and sounds dumb trying to speak on "black man is God" type shit.

I don't listen to their solo stuff because the production still sounds retro 2000s to me. I want to hear them over young producers and modern genres.

Ex. Young Thug had the best production in the game and is sitting in jail. His producers are doing nothing. Rae & Ghost should've been all over that but I doubt they have young hip heads in their circle.

And I think its bullshit that they "need" that 90s RZA sound. It would be corny hearing 50/60 year olds rapping over the same production as their 20s/30s. Time has moved on and no one can sound like RZA did then... not even RZA. They just need beats up to their level, which few producers can make. Def not the same house Wu producers who never produce for anyone else. Thats why they like working with Pete Rock and Havoc, the best from their generation.

They would literally need an album with Dr Dre, Ye, Premier, RZA, True Master, Prince Paul and that budget would be insane. If we can't get that, lets hear them over the best new producers.

I think its another issue with having RZA and Wu-Management over the group U-God has hinted at this. The group want to work with big producers but they never get the greenlight. They would have to do it solo, which they can't even afford.

Meth is the only one with the stroke to work with mega producers on his solo albums, but it usually sounds wack because Def Jam had him so commercial.

    I'ma just fan-produce solo albums:

    Ghost & Kanye
    Rae & Dr. Dre
Masta Killa, Deck & U-God with Madlib
Method Man & Q-Tip (sounds better than Q-Tip's LL Cool J album)
    GZA & Premier
    Cappadonna & El-P
    RZA & Prince Paul
