Thread: Wu Tang vs Bone Thugz

Default Wu Tang vs Bone Thugz

Deck talked about it in a new clip the other day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRt5GyfetbE Some other cool stuff about Aaliyah fucking Ghost and bring Wu shrooms.

I went and found Bizzy talking about a later, more serious run-in and him about to fight ODB and U-God. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJP2rs5SFx8

Bizzy said there were more Wu/Bone beefs. Method Man comes off well in these stories.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2TQUCez8-E Krayzie's version of the story. He says nothing else happened after. No surprise Ghostface instigated it with some other big nigga lol.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8NOv_UEB_U Consequence says Ghost threw a bottle at Wish Bone and hit a bigger guy.

Why exactly was the catalyst for this beef?

The fight at the Def Jam party probably started over them squaring off at a hotel pool. It was Bone Thugz turf and they wanted Wu Tang to leave and give them the pool but Wu just kept ignoring them. Thats what I think it was about lol.

2nd this, it's funny because at times Meth can come across as a bit grumpy at times but I've heard a lot of stories where he's the one trying to make peace between people!

Can't remember any of the other stories right now though, except for his own that he always stopped to say what's up to Biggie, even when other members felt some type of way and didn't

Meth is just a cool ass dude...it's hard not to respect him. I can't recall a single beef involving him...even when Pac was on his fuck the east coast it was still love when it came to Meth

Meth was the only Wu member friendly with Biggie and he smoothed things over with Steve-O after Raekwon jacked him up. They say Meth is the most passionate so he gets his feelings hurt the most, which is probably why he stands up for people when Wu bullies people. Rae and Ghost are usually the ones responsible for drama and they're known for bully tactics.

At the same time, Bizzy comes off weak af in his story. Wu affiliateslet Bone Thugz go because they didn't have guns for a shootout but Bizzy's corny ass was trying to bait U-God and ODB to get shot by his bodyguards? No surprise Bone don't get along with Bizzy. He's like the opposite of a Meth who is just a overall cool person who happens to have thug friends.

I'm in the BTNHBoard private group. I saw the conversation b/w Krayzie's daughter had with RZA's son. They get along just fine.

U-God shouted out Bizzy Bone In the Golden Armz Redemption Album Booklet. Bizzy had some random interview on youtube from like 01-02' shouting out Wu-Tang. I think they took care of him in NY.

Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

I used to love reading the shoutouts inside cassettes and CDs. One of the oddest that always stuck with me was Killah Priest shouting out Master P in Heavy Mental. Peace

so ironic reading this. i had a livestream yesterday talking about the time no limit records flew me out to discuss a potential deal and how much of a stand up dude master P was in person. so personally i get it. If you met dude , you would see why mc's respect him even if he ain't the greatest spitter out there.

Master P was copying Wu's formula for sure with the spin-off groups and and various collaborations. No Limit artists were terrible IMO but to their fanbase the stuff must've been just as collectible. I'm from the Soouth and Wu didn't get much play here so it woas easy to repackage their ideas with the "No Limit Soldiers". The hilarious pixel art covers they're known for seem modeled on the "Triumph" video. Bone and No Limit were copying the Killa Beez with their B and C levels of artists.
