Basically the best tracks from between (and including) Yin & Yang and all his albums until the present day.

I love The Pillage but I’m aware that he has quality control issues. I’d ideally like to create one or two album length playlists which act like albums.

I was actually looking at his releases the other day. Him and Priest must be the most productive. But the quality of that production is questionable to say the least. A selection of the best would help them both I think.

I’m surprised nobody on Spotify has done so given how big that platform is and how big a fan base Wu has…although the age of said fan group is prob on the older side now and too busy raising babies or going through divorces to be making Cappadonna playlists.

Edit: I might just go ahead and do it actually.

Edit 2: I’ve begun. Will do it over a few days and see how it turns out.

Based upon people I talk with, they do not have a feeling for newer material. They like the old stuff, and are not so much into the new stuff. So they avoid it. Does Spotify still show the numbers of plays? You could sort of map out what sticks, and what not.

Another things is that older heads just stick with what they know. They don't want to waste the time to be surprised or disappointed. Safe bets are the old records. I can not blame them, after being let down by albums on multiple occasions in the last 20 years. After that point, it takes a lot to get people in again, and make new songs stick.

Yea man i dont expect caps albums to be up there but there should be some. I expect there would be sample issues and the like.

but without a doubt some of those above are my fav recent wu tracks by far.

I made the playlist. I think it’s really good and has that distinct Wu flavour all through it:
