SPLHCB is an amazing album, but MMT is still better. The instrumentation, the melodies, the creativeness. I would say MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR by The Beatles is the #1 greatest album in the history of music. EVER.

It's got alot of gems, stuff that should've been on Sgt. Pepper like Strawberry Fields. But it misses tracks like Only A Nothern Song, All Too Much & Hey Bulldog. And that film is out there, way out there in left field.
Wu-Tang: failing the internet tubes since 1997
never heard mystery tour but pepper is hard to beat though it gets redundant to be after a while
MMT isgood, but essentially its half new songs and the other half is just their recent singles and B-sides collected. Thats why you have Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields, which were released before Sgt. Pepper, and there's also All You Need Is Love, Hello, Goodbye, just recent single tracks.
I do like, Fool On The Hill, the title track, and I Am The Walrus, but I really dont think this is better than Sgt. Pepper.
Oh, and by the way, The White Album blows both of these right outta the water easily!!!!!!!!!!
Peace!
Can you take me back where I came from, can you take me back....

The Beatles are the most overrated band of all time - there are maybe 10 Beatles songs that I think are any good. Mostly they're either super sissy, or sound like nursery rhymes for toddlers on LSD.
Yes.
Let's be clear: anything I - or anybody else - writes or says, is not gospel truth to anybody other than the person wrting or speaking. I shouldn't have to preface every statement with "in my opinion" or "I think" - clearly this is what I think or else I wouldn't write it. So, in short, in my universe, the Beatles are overrated; ie: other people rate them far higher than I. Most folks think they're the greatest band ever, and to me, they don't make the top 100.
EDIT:
Y'know what, though? There's no reason for me to get on this thread just to degrade The Beatles. You all are appreciating and debating the merits of the two records, and me saying I think the Beatles are overrated has nothing to do with either of those things; but, off-topic or not, my assertion still stands.
