Been off way too long, so I wont list all my purchases But the most promising ones deserve a mention-
Twin Peaks Golden Box Set- tv couldn't be any better, and it never has.
Midnight Run- for what it is, this comedy is perfect.
The Conversation- haven't watched it still, needed to add it to my Coppola collection.
Bad Lieutenant- Keitel was superb! Didn't quite click first viewing though, now I appreciate it for the excellent and disturbing film it is.
King Of New York- Not perfect by any means, but Walken delivers and the atmosphere is splendid.
The Funeral- The third Ferrara film in a row, the gritty director has a great idea of the crime world and human emotion. Walken,Del Toro and Chris Penn did fantastic.
River's Edge- Closest story to a David Lynch film, and it was a wonderfully made depressive picture.
U-Turn- A forgotten Oliver Stone picture that I really enjoyed. Extremely raw, over the top and darkly comical. Great cast too.

Also I still have to watch Nashville, Year of the Dragon, Synedoche(New York), Last Temptation of Christ and Do the Right Thing. I am busy with cinema.

    Tokyo Drifter is awesome.

    I watched this yesterday:

It's called 'Nothing Is Silent' I think, everywhere else in the world. Make of that what you want.

Utterly insane movie...not entirely successful is its handling of the subject matter, but it's worth a watch. It's about racism, adolescent sexuality and self loathing, pedophilia, teenage pregnancy...it's a sidesplitting, knee slapping farce for kids. Hasn't anyone else seen this?
