Funny how your EPMD threads got overlooked. smh at people on this forum. Id give this album 9/10, great raps, funky beats with great drums and bass, and easily one of the best in hip-hops greatest year aka '88. Its between this and Business As Usual for my favourite EPMD album

Good album. You Gots To Chill is the jam. It's My Thing and Let The Funk Flow songs i like also. I have to listen to this album again because i haven't heard it in a long time. You're A Customer song uses the same beat that they used on Jane 3 right? Which song on this album is the one that they sample Bob Marley's I Shot The Sheriff beat? Warren G sampled the EPMD song that uses I Shot The Sheriff beat on his 2nd album and his song is called I Shot The Sheriff.

That's the title track "Strictly Business" and they sampled Eric Clapton's version of "I Shot The Sheriff"

Sage do you actually own their albums?, because if you look on the back of Strictly Business, you will see it says 1988 and Unfinished Business 1989.

I am willing to place money that Strictly Business was NOT released in 1987.

whats crazy is listening to it and hearing that every other line is sampled or quoted by other rappers. Its a perfect album.

I didn't know they had a video for Strictly Business until I saw it on Youtube. I like the video.
