Jay-Z Launches New Record Label

Rap mogul Jay-Z has joined forces with New York-based producers Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Erikson, aka Stargate, to create a brand new record label – StarRoc.

According to reports from MIC Norway, the Norwegian production-duo recently relocated from their Manhattan studio to Jay-Z’s Roc the Mic Studios, and have begun working together.

Stargate’s list of credits includes writing and producing songs for Beyonce, Nas, Ne-Yo, Rihanna and Trey Songz.

Later this year, Jay-Z will be releasing his eleventh solo album, The Blueprint 3.

Confirmed guest artists and producers include Kanye West, T.I., No I.D. and Swizz Beatz, among others.

The Blueprint 3 will be Jay-Z’s final album release via Def Jam.
