no i think the ability to pos/neg rep is good. it allows vats more freedom and authority.
(albeit, i am confused about the non-vat eligibility of reps, but ok)

Anyway I disagree... i get a lot of rep because I have had dope threads and my contribution to the site. I am not a gen chat rep getter...not thats a problem, but I feel like a lot of dudes kinda through themselves out there just to get some rep.
It increases with post number and amount of rep.

Can the rep system be expanded? Perhaps a maxed out rep meter = one Wutang symbol in the rep bar. Or a Melanin flavoured square.

maybe there should be different rep systems put in place.
1) green rep for funny ass posters in gen chat and the sorts
2) "color" rep for contributory shit on wutang and hip hop forums
3) "color" rep for grafix and other designs helping posters getting a gee oh dee sig
4) "color" rep for KTL and other deep posts that elevates and generates greatness.
