cant stop listening to campfire, heart gently weeps, wolves, windmill, life changes, take it back....thats like half the album.
all the wu members and cappa nd streetlife were sick!
EVEN U-GOD
wut u mean even ugod
he's dope on clan releases.
bring back begongo!!
Eh, it was OK.
I was hyped when it came out, and I think it made me overrate it at first.
It is weird, because I pretty much like all of the songs, except Starter, which was crap.
And I don't think Life Changes was that great, but i don't always skip it.
And Stick Me For My riches was the highlight for me.
But the album just seems so disjointed. I haven't really listened to it much after the first month it was out, but it is still ok.
I thought U-God and Meth put up really solid performances. I thought Cappa and Rae sucked ass.
There wasn't enough Ghost.
Either way, it is an album of mostly good songs that just doesn't have a cohesive feel or flow.
Yeah, I don't see why. I wouldn't call it a classic, but it has a bunch of dope songs, and I still keep it in the rotation.
The only song I always skip is Killa Lipstick, but I really like Walk Around, Slow Down, Rec Room, Yolanda's House, and a couple of other joints.
i never thought the album was awful, just a few of the tracks are. on every other wu album the production style flows through the record. rza had too much of a mix of styles. i think i only listen to gun will go on a regular basis, the rest of the album is old news. along with all the solos that have dropped in the last couple years. i think if i hadn't followed their music for such a long time and i just started listening to them now i probably wouldn't think much of them if i judged them by this album. i'd just think this guy rae and meth need to go solo. cause they murked that record. to all the rae haters and people who say meth is the weakest can shut it. they proved themselves on this record
FCK A SHOUT OUT!
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT LINE.
Meth was just using a pop-culture reference.
All he is saying is that he is a sexy motherfucker and he is back.
He's not allowed to say Timberlake??? Fuck you.
He didn't even say he liked JT. Everybody in wu-tang has said the word "faggot". Does that mean they are all faggots?
Ghost has mentioned AIDS before. Does that mean he has AIDS?
You guys are idiots.
And on top of that, while I don't particularly like his music, Justin Timberlake is a whole lot cooler than any of you faggots. He can sing and dance and has more soul than any other white man today. And he plays instruments and can compose. Although it might not be my style, he is a talented musician.
And he can fuck just about any woman he wants. Including all of your girlfriends.
If I had to choose to hang out with Justin Timberlake or any of you faggots, it would be JT all the way.
I am disgusted by all of you.
I am inclined to believe that the resistance against said line is less to do with the reference to Mr.Timberlake himself, but rather to the fact that technically, it can be classified as a crappy line.
Not a crime, definite over-reaction, but nonetheless a crappy line in essence.
That is bullshit. First of all, most lines, when taken out of context, by themself, aren't that great.
Cruisin on the interstate, just follow while I innovate
Too many try and imitate, medallion like a dinner plate
Front and get your dinner ate, chinchilla for the winter wait
I'm tryin to bring the "Sexy Back" with Timbaland and Timberlake
Is that the best wu-verse ever?
Obviously not.
But it is a solid verse, Meth bringing us back, looking sexy in his chinchilla coat.
Fuck the haters.
How can you even crticize one line:
"Plus I'm back home now, doin my thing"
I can't believe cappa said that, that's horrible, waaa waaa waaa.
just listened to this again in its entirety for the first time in a long time and i stand by my rating of 6/10. a slightly above par album.
