idk, its hard to say because he has done films in all different type of genres, so it really depends on what genre u like, but some MUST SEE Takashi Miike Films are (my top10):

1. Graveyard of Honor epic yakuza film
2. Ichi the Killer comical yakuza splatter
3. Visitor Q family satire
4. Gozu crazy roadmovie
5. Audition mixture between love n horrorfilm
6. Rainy Dog yakuza film, realistic
7. Deadly Outlaw Rekka yakuza film, very over the top
8. Imprint horror
9. The Birdpeople in China journey, adventure movie
10. Fudoh funny yakuza splatter

11. Izo philosophical samurai splatter, still a must see tho

checkout "Three Extremes."

3 Short films directed from 3 different asian countries. "Dumplings" by Fruit Chan [Hong Kong], "Cut" by Chan-Wook Park [S. Korea] and "Box" by Takashi Miike [Japan]

all three are dope in their own way. Takashi's piece is a nice surprise where there arent much gore and shock value instead relies on the storytelling thru cinematography and visual art.

my personal fav. was "Dumplings" shit is bugged out..lol peace !

YES it is. Although I really enjoyed every episode from that series (at least, the first season), Miike's was my favorite. Very twisted and engrossing story. Even in all English, I had no issues with it. Highly recommended.

Just remember, if you're buying the whole 1st season for Miike, it's only one episode he did. But all the episodes are quality, so go for it.

The ones I've seen are 'Audition', 'One Missed Call', and 'Sukiyaki Western Django'. I just wached 'SWD' last night and this morning put in my thread 'what movies do you NOT recommend'. I really liked 'Audition' though, recommend that one. 'OMC' was so-so, nothing special. I want to see 'Ichi the Killer' and some of those others you recommend
