I think i already did a thread but yeah its OK. Nothing really special though. I was dissapointed really, hes the best hip hop soul producer out there and I dont know whys hes doing this style.
I loved this album he did shit right out and sounded great I still wish heads made that old school sounding shit
I tried to get tickets to special session w/ him singing the album in full in smal club that seated 100 but it cost 2 gs lol
I don't really like the music that he's done solo because he's doing too many love songs. I like the stuff he did with Tony Toni Tone.
I think I heard it but I don't remember if I liked it, guess that's a bad sign.

well i really only listen to old soul/rnb. i'm not into that new shit. so this is what i've been dying to hear someone do.

Yeah he captured the sound really well thats because hes a very talented musician with a good ear. He nailed the drums.
My favorite songs are 100 yard dash, Calling, and Oh Girl (without Jay Z, not because i dont like Jay Z though)
But I like my rnb soul really slow, like really slow, too many songs are fast dancing tempo for my personal taste, in that sense its a bit of a mixed up album.

He should reunite with his brother Dwayne and his cousin Timothy for a few more Tony Toni Tone albums. I love their albums The Revival, Sons Of Soul, House Of Music.
