if anyone in here digs old soul music check raphael saadiq's new joint. the whole theme of the album is to soound like it was made 40 years ago. shits bad. "not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good"
I think i already did a thread but yeah its OK. Nothing really special though. I was dissapointed really, hes the best hip hop soul producer out there and I dont know whys hes doing this style.
I loved this album he did shit right out and sounded great I still wish heads made that old school sounding shit
I tried to get tickets to special session w/ him singing the album in full in smal club that seated 100 but it cost 2 gs lol
Yeah he captured the sound really well thats because hes a very talented musician with a good ear. He nailed the drums.
My favorite songs are 100 yard dash, Calling, and Oh Girl (without Jay Z, not because i dont like Jay Z though)
But I like my rnb soul really slow, like really slow, too many songs are fast dancing tempo for my personal taste, in that sense its a bit of a mixed up album.
LOL@the whole cd is a classic hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I doubt that. His solo albums are boring. He should reunite with his brother Dwayne and his cousin Timothy for a few more Tony Toni Tone albums. I love their albums The Revival, Sons Of Soul, House Of Music. I never heard their first album Who. I gotta check it out. LOL@Raphael's gay clothes on Instant Vintage album cover hahahahahahahahahahaha.
