Word though, its just an updated version of Wu-Tang. Of course if they stuck with the same forumla it'll get old. But even RZA said the best thing about Wu is their evolution.
You gotta understand that at that point they were already legendary.
I guarentee this was better than any studio album released in 01.
I mean, I liked it. No complaints, plenty of ill verses beats and concepts... especially from Deck, GZA, Rae, and Ghost.

its been about 6 years since iron flag dropped.. i dont know how much longer i can ""let it marinate"" .. but i feel the exact same way i do now compared to when i first heard it.. it was not ill.. maybe if it was a solo project or a mixtape compilation i could understand it.. i like a couple of tracks dont get me wrong.. but as an OFFICIAL WU-TANG CLAN ALBUM... NAH.. its a slap in the face.. especially coming straight behind the W... ((the W was a dope album that followed an updated WU formula))...but not this album.. it was an evolution alright.. but not a good one..
Wu's ol' formula could never get old.. cause they havent used it since 1998.. they hardly use it now.. so dont listen to RZA..he dont even know what he be sayin half the time.. i love him.. but thats fuckin bologna!!
Agreed some of the beats are pure shit, i mean dashing and Uzi (pinky ring)s beats fuckin suck!!!!. Although GZA was on point througout the album, as was Deck its the worst Wu album

The W is just too much of a commercial appealling album ( Do you really & MC Conditier don't fit my head (anymore)....its just so..un-Wu)
I think that u can't go wrong with any Wu album....some solos yes, but not a group album
