Exactly, the stories of Jesus, Noahs Ark and all preachings were just parables, metaphors or whatever you wanna call em to get the big picture. People misunderstand the purpose of the bible. Its not to show THE WAY, or WHAT HAPPENED but to give you an idea of the righteous way and how shit coulda happened. My point is, if you read the bible forget whats being said, and look at why its being said. But christianity wasnt taken fae the jews, it started on a cross man. We cant be sure if its exact, all we can do is learn about it, and either believe it or not. All about belief ma man. Plus we believe in Jesus, thats main reason, regardless of wit Hinduism says.
