that beat is terrible to me i dont know why
You know this album is going to be great when Cappa spits his first line
"I came to a fork in the road and went straight" and you hear that beat you just know the album is going to be fire.
Really nice album. Not classic, but nice. Then again, I can't see Cappa making a classic album for me just cos I've never rated him as being that good an mc.
I've always loved Dart Throwing! Thought it had a dope beat too!
Gotta say it didn't have the greatest lastability for me. I don't really play it at all anymore.
Funny though how the Wu albums back in those days that I classed as decent at the time, would be hailed as the greatest thing ever if they were released now. Cilva's album is a perfect example. If it had come out in 1995 everyone would have said "It's alright, nothing special". comes out in 2007 and people love it just cos it's going for the right sound. In reality it's nothing more than average.

Cappadonna? Are you kidding, this album was the end of his career. Everything he did after this was a joke. I think this site is heavily overrating this album, but it is pretty good. Great production, sometimes Cappa can be wack with the flow but good guest spots help it. He did kill Milk the Cow though. I'll give The Pillage a 3/5. Young Hearts and Pump Your Fist are pretty bad and there aren't really any great tracks outside of the first 5, Milk the Cow, and Everything Is Everything.
Cappa is one hell of a rapper, and I won't attempt to take anything from him lyrically and this one ain't his fault. I must blame the RZA for this one. If RZA wasn't fully involved on this album, then he should have. The only songs I like on The Pillage is The Pillage, Dart Throwing, and Pump Your Fists cause I love Tekitha.
wicked album.
best trax are Supa Ninjaz, Oh Donna and Pump Your Fist
Classic shyt, one of best solo wu albums, really great one............
although cappas is often criticised bout different thingz, at this project,he just can't be questioned bout anything, cuz every thing is just so mad....
10/10
