    Default March Beat Battle (there back!!!)

    The beat battles are back!! This time with a slight change, threres no need to sign in first just pick a sample or use both provided and drop your entry in this thread by the deadline date. This is open to all beatmakers so feel free to participate. I have picked the first two samples for this round but the winner has the option to pick the next two if they want too.

    Heres two classic samples for you to use (and please stick to the rules!!)

    Herbie Hancock - People Music.mp3 - 16.36MB


    Rules;
    Use only sample provided (drums, quotes, ect... allowed)
    Choose either sample or use a combination of both

    Thanks. It started out mad simple, but I kept listening to the songs and kept hearing more shit I wanted to use. I'm anxious to hear more takes on the samples. I hope more people show up.

    I sampled the Michael Jackson "Ben" joint... Lost the other sample so this is all I had to work with... lol.. made it a freestyle beat! Enjoy! And the beat is on my myspace page! Really wish I wouldve sample that Herbie Hancock joint tho, couldve done alot lol but I'll be sure to sample BOTH samples next round! PEACE and GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

    I gotta participate in more of these beat battles and shit because I've discovered so more shit while doing mine with FL, but to make things more and more interesting next time...

    find samples that, terribly need mixing/mastering (practice).. samples that would be real challenges to make something dope out of (definitely practice).. and that's how most beatmakers will evolve, TRUST me..

    but loving what I hear so far...

    I agree with all of that, it also makes you think more and get more creative so your not in danger of all sounding the same!!! Regards this batch of samples i just randomly you-tubed em before I put them up, you may notice that both have been used before which I thought would make it interesting in a way as well!! I have given the winner the option to pick samps for the next round but if they dont want to or dont come through I shall try and make it it more interesting!!!
