i know what you mean. i really like when he goes into that mood, that's why i think liquid swords was so ill, partically, his tone. Its just , sometimes, harsh and unforgiving.
I also like when he goes into his 'evil scheme' flow like with UZI
he just sounds exactly how that video depicted, plotting in the dark.
his new old guy flow is really ill for songs that are supposed to sound like he's reading, and that one epic beat song on grandmasters i can't remember where due to the hellish events a guys days were numbered.
Yeah it sounds all good on some of his tracks,but he needs to realise that his style was laid back when he was younger,if hes any more laid back he mite aswell sleep
Look at KRSONE he still expresses on the mic with energy ,Some of theses wu dudes need to go back to what made them like yeah of corse the lyrics will change and the sound of voice will but stick to something at least tht made you,because right now they trying to hard to sound like the young dudes whove got those new flows,stick to what made you original man!

gza changed after liquid swords which i believe was his greatest album
beneath the surfaced used different production than what i was used to, but still liked it
also his lyrical style changed too
he should go back to the liquid sword style
