DOOM always like to flip the classics too. personally, i think his version of cerrone's rocket in the pocket is the definitive usage, even though it had been used a million times.
with yessir, i think it's just a case of him wanting to hear rae rip the ufo break.

one beer was a jaylib beat! it was already out when DOOM ripped it. he also had a bunch of other producers and tracks where he didn't rap on mm.. food. all these criticisms could apply to that album.

Street Hop was on PA's album, not mixtape. and that came awhie ago anyway so he is just lazy for using it. He thinks cuz now he pretty popular he can put garbage mixtapes out. It wouldnt be as bad if his last album didn't come out like 3 years ago. he knew niggas have been waitin for awhile so he should have stepped his game up. there should have been no old tracks, but since there is, its a fuckin mixtape

i wouldnt say the album was a let down, that would be a bit harsh. i thought it was at first, but the more I listen the more coherent it is
i have changed my thoughts, i like it more now

    7/10

i ranked it 7/10 as well.

i guess i just expect a lot out of doom because he has such a strong body of work and is one of the people still truly making original sounding music in this era.

i would have liked to see more songs like cellz and batty boyz on it though. those are top notch tracks.
The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

People are too stupid to effectively conspire to do anything, but not too stupid to come up with conspiracy theories.

^^ yes Jake One laced "Ballskin" as well.. i'm listening through the album now as well (i'm through half LP) and this shit is fucking slamming imo. i haven't heard many of these beats before so that doesn't really bothers me at all.

According to wikipedia DOOM only produced like half the album... apparently Madlib has a beat on there, the two Dilla beats, and Jake One has 4 beats.

Dunno how reliable the info is though, you know what wikipedia is like!

Here's the info on wikipedia anyway...

    1. Supervillain Intro (DOOM)
    2. Gazillion Ear (J Dilla)
    3. Ballskin (Jake One)
    4. Yessir! feat. Raekwon (DOOM)
    5. Absolutely (Madlib)
    6. Rap Ambush (Jake One)
    7. Lightworks (J Dilla)
    8. Batty Boyz (DOOM)
    9. Angels feat. Tony Starks (DOOM)
    10. Cellz (DOOM)
    11. Still Dope feat. Empress Stahhr (DOOM)
    12. Microwave Mayo (Jake One)
    13. More Rhymin' (Jake One)
    14. That's That (DOOM)
    15. Supervillainz feat. Kurious (DOOM)
    16. Bumpy's Message (DOOM)
    17. Thank Yah (DOOM)

So, according to wikipedia, DOOM only produced 9 tracks on the album and one of those is Bumpy's phone message and the other is the outro!

Again, I dunno how reliable that info on wikipedia is though!

    Peace!

Yeah , lol. This is a funny issue. The first time I had the song you could clearly hear him say the part was to be played by charlie murphy and then Ghost says fuck charlie. Then I have another version where they edit out doom saying charlie's name , he just says the part will be played by and then its blank but GFK still says fuck Charlie. And then now they switch it to mr.t and try and hide G sayin fuck charlie but you can still hear it.

I thought that was odd but its something cool to watch edits take place. I dont know the story on this though and would like to know.
