Calipari to Kentucky

Although I am primarily a University of Connecticut fan, I am also a pretty big UK fan, as that is my alma mater

It looks like John Calipari is about to be hired as the University of Kentucky's basketball team.

I always hated Calipari. He is a great recruiter and I think it will help UKs slumping basketball program, and have us right back in contention. However, he has always seemed like a slimeball to me, who got great athletes to come to school, but never instructed them or really made them any better at basketball or life.

So, I suppose I am reluctantly happy about his hiring.

I think this is great for Kentucky. They reallly fell off after hiring a minority coach because of their guilt about Adolph Rupp.

Regardless, I always like Kentucky basketball and seeing Ashley Judd in the stands. PLus Pitino was a paisan...and now Calipari....

I will root for them as long as they are not playing Ohio State

Im not really a big Calipari fan but hes definitely gonna get that program back on track. He had the number 1 and 4 overall prospects comin to memphis next year and i can almost guarantee that they are going to follow him to Kentucky... give him a year or 2 and they will be back in the national discussion
