I Wanna Learn To Photoshop

Yeah, I wanna learn to use Photoshop. I've got no previous experience using graphics software or anything. What's the best way to learn? Is there some fantastic tutorial I can dl somewhere? Or is it easiest just to fuck around with it and see what does what and shit like that?

Just mess round with it, thats what I did.
I can't stand reading a tutorial, I'd rather see it being done.
But thats just me, you might read loads on it and harness it
I know I couldn't do it that way.

Check out some youtube videos for the different areas as well
The possibilites at your finger tips is vast, thats why I find the tutorials to be too much
Depends on if your a visual person or if you can take it all on board and remember it.

In general I just play about with it, try something new each time
I haven't read any tutorials on it, only very basic things to grasp the different icons ect...
I've found that each sig/piece I make is better than the last.

Cheers mate. I'm really impatient, so I really don't think I could do the whole tutorial thing either. I think I'll just start out by messing around with it and see how that goes. I'd like to read up on the basics though.

I read Style's tutorial on the basics of how he makes sigs
as well as just a few I searched up on youtube
and I made this one after like 2 days of knowing absolutely nothing about photoshop.

Also, I wanna learn to fuck with photos, like distort and combine them and that sort of shit.

still - what I mentioned did a ton in a short amount of time to be able to know how to use some of the features. Your last sentence is a perfect example of what I used in making this sig.

but I would just do a lot of trial and error for what u wanna do in that case. I spent a while just going through every alteration option to see what they do.

Man I'm fucken useless with this shit. I'm trying to follow that shit Whers linked and it's just not happening...Where the fuck is the "colour picker" tool? I can't find that shit anywhere. And nothing else I've done seems to be going how it should.

I've been trying to get the program for my next door neighbour for ages, but my dl's kept having viruses and shit, but I finally got one that's clean, and passed it on to him. I think I might ask him to teach me how to use it. Think that might be my best bet?

double click the color to change colors or use the lil eyedropper tool. (press "i")

start out with sigs and eventually everything else will be easy shit.
get some nice tuts from a graphics forum and do them before you experiment by yourself, i started on chaos gfx years back.

^ yeah I would recommend readin tutorials when you're starting, even if they're about something you don't want to do then you'll almost definately learn something new from them
