Lady Gaga is another Lady Sovereign. The only reason they are popular is because of their looks. Their lack of talent, voice, and repetitive god-awful music is mind numbing.

I don't understand how you can draw any comparison between Gaga and M.I.A. except that they're both women who make music. I doubt anybody thinks M.I.A. will start anything, but she makes great party music that has something resembling a social conscience and her style/image/music make for a great live show.

Lady Gaga doesn't wear pants. When that's an identifiable characteristic of a self-styled 'artist' with as high an opinion of themself as she has, worry.

I have no problem with people liking M.I.A.

But i think a lot of people make her out to be something she isn't though.

She's just a pop musician with a gimmick like the rest of them.

Which isn't necessarily bad.
