sylar as spock was genius casting, but the whole thing looks real 'mtv trek' to me, like it's 'star trek for people who think star trek is nerdy/gay'...the effects/cinematogrpahy look great though, i'll have to see some reviews.

I'm thinking this is gonna be the first movie in a LONG time I'm gonna catch at a theater.
people I know who are oblivious to the original star trek think the trailer looks awesome - and I love the original series! Never got into the other ones tho.
and @ vay727...yeah i guess there was a buzz about it being "star trek 90210" but ah well who gives a shit, it looks cool

my dad said it's amazing, and he's a og fan of the original trek

the only trek movies i liked was wrath of khan, undiscovered country, and first contact...the other ones are mediocre to godawful imo
