Jackie Chan Slowing Down?

Jackie Chan has been talking about distancing himself from his action-star status for years, but the latest from the Associated Press is that Chan expects to stop starring in action films within five years and move behind the camera where he'll continue to produce, direct and train young filmmakers and stuntmen. He plans to star in at least one more kung fu-related project involving Director Zhang Yimou (Hero, House of Flying Daggers) that plans to begin shooting sometime in 2007. It’s also been rumored that Jet Li might even join the cast. Chan's latest is The Myth, a period actioneer featuring a multi-national cast from China, South Korea and India that opens September 23rd in Asia.

well, im not upset, he did his thing plus his latest "new police story" with the gen x cops kid was well worth it and very good. He knows when to quit. The american films were bad so, he's staying in asia.

^^ I didnt know there was a pt 2 for vampire effect.I saw pt 1..wasnt bad...a bit cheesy..but sometimes cheesy movies are cool.

I have a hard time imagining a movie with Chan and Li.

Then again, nothing will ever beat the old school Yen and Li.
