There was a rumor that SEGA was getting back in the hardware game. They had trademarked the name "Ringedge". But considering that they might have financial troubles I would doubt it. Did anyone here ever have a Sega Master System?
I remember when I was a little kid and when Nintendo and Sega Master system were competing with each other. My friend got a Sega Master system and I got a Nintendo, that same Christmas. At first I thought that maybe I would have rather had the Sega, but then I changed my mind in a little while. lol
i had master system.
nintendo was way better, but the master system definitely had some fun shit.
alex kidd, wonderboy, rastan, golvellius, shining in the darkness, shinobi, altered beast, golden axe, some other shits i can't remember.
those were tight shit.
i'd like to play them right now on some nostalgia shit.
i used to fill out the little cards that came with games and send em back to sega and shit.
one day i came home from school, and my mom told me that someone from sega called asking for me, and something about winning some free shit or something.
they told her thye would call back within the week.
i was so fucking excited, i shit you not, i would race home everyday from school and burst in the crib asking if sega called. i was like 8 years old, so everyday i came home and they hadn't called i was just like fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. devastated.
from time to time i remember that shit, and i'm just like WAS SOMEONE FUCKING WITH ME? or what
oh well, genesis was the dopeshit too.
True but you could mod anything back in the day. It's only this gen that it's hard to mod because MS and Nintendo are on point by banning people or releasing new patches when the mods become available and the PS3 is apparently impossible to mod because of the amount of processors
if the dreamcast was so good, why did it fail so quick?
I never knew it had built in online play. Thats crazy for the time.
idk y it fell, well, some of the titles were shit, but IMO they made up for it with their good games (jet grind fuckin radio bitches) and unbelievable technological advances which, since havent all been revisited (VMU)

yeah, i loved jet grind radio....
why would we want to visit the VMU again? flash media storage within the console tranferred via cable or flash stick is far more impressive than a box with a shitty lcd display.
they were 'all the rage' when the dreamcast launched.. that along with the internet connection and keyboard etc... was their USP... thats all. but the ps2 knocked all that shit off the shelf.
dude i loved VMUs, plus even if we dont need em now, they were dope as hell then
