Default Pitchfork has a go at New Wu

    http://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/...nd-method-man/

I kind of agree with what they're saying too. There's nothing particularly 'new' about this song. But we've all seen what happens when Raekwon tries to step outside the box so I'm pretty happy it's really just the old Wu.

Thats another thing that irks me about hip hop today. Too many people are preocupied trying to sound "new" & "fresh" that they don't stop to think whether it actually sounds good.

the author needs to go listen to something else...he aint BUILT for cuban linx 2!!!

who the fuck uses these kinds of sentences to explain a hood classic???

" I know I'm not the only one who still Pavlovs out to sentences like the above"

"the first proper taste of Raekwon's Only Built for Cuban Linx II, rocks the requisite bells"

"they're B+ efforts at best, and even Rae's impressive run of street life logorrhea sputters a bit too much to fully congeal"

SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! LOL dudes like this KIILLLL MEEEE
tryn to tell wu how to do shit when u should be judging a fuckin science project contest...get the hell outta here!!!!

Considering this is coming from Pitchfork media, you can take it with a grain of salt. They are way out of their scope or territory reviewing anything outside of the demographic of white indie rock.

Google Paul Thompson. There is a lot of negative things being said about him. I would love to see what this guy looks like.

I'm one of those people that likes to hear new sounds, but not all the time.

Pitchfork overuses the hyphen. It's their shtick. But they've never been a very good review site. Hipsters just love them.

I agree with you guys, and a 6 is bullshit. I'm just spreading the word.

Pitchfork is usually pretty soft on hip-hop and really critical on other stuff ive noticed, especially Wu. They liked 8 diagrams and they praised the shit out of Ghost's later stuff

    ...They gave Untitled a 3.8.

They gave Afro Samurai OST a 6.6.

They gave Afro Samurai Resurrection OST a 4.2.

They gave Finding Forever a 5.6.

And finally, they gave Pro Tools a 6.8.

    Conclusion?

    Pitchfork can't review hip-hop.

The last two deserved those scores. I like Pro Tools but it's like a 7 for me. And Finding Forever was boring. The first three are definitely off though.
