See, this is interesting... I've had my style critiqued as "corny" before, and I'm always confused by that. Obviously I play the sarcasm angle when I write, trying to go for funny punch lines more than anything. Is that what makes it corny? What isn't corny? Do I have to say things like "I'll do this and this to you", or "I'll kill you in way number 1,001", or my personal favourite "You suck cock for this and this reason". All that "kill you" and "fag" shit is so tired... The best battlers out there have a lot of wit, which is something very absent in the style of writing I just described. I guess I'd rather err on the side of corny.
