is a mere reference to the rza's vision as a pioneer to be the first one to want to make an enhanced cd... wutang forever was an enhanced cd that also gave u special bonus content on your personal computer !

so basically this stanza was just biggin up the rza and him being too advanced for the rest of the analog cats in the game
I always thought he was referring to RZA in that line as well. That song is so lyrically classic. You got this classic GZA verse, with Ghosface following with a funny verse. Plus, Masta Killa has a great verse as well.

"No surprise, double disc touched five"

i agree with Beautiful Beard, he probably talks about the 5% (= Nation of Gods) who understood the message, and the real meaning of FOREVER. PEACE

    [QUOTE=Literate Type Asshole]
    and my comments:

I move with the speed and strength of ants
Identical in form with the Beez they swarm

the "speed and strength of ants" line seems like an odd line at first until you consider what the speed and strength of ants actually is. ants operate in huge colonies....together one ant is not much, but together ants can transform landscapes. think about that in relation to the clan; that's what makes the line so clever.
    [QUOTE]

Actually hes probably referring to the fact that proportionally ANts are probably the fastest and strongest creatures around. They can left something stupid like 100 times their own body weight.

I also have to point out that i LOVED that "D. banner under pressure" line. its true thats GZA ingenuity all over. ANy emcee coul dhave said "i rhyme wild like the hulk " or something but GZA takes it that 1 step further.

Hold up the cold current appear warm
i dont actually get this line. whatever....it sounds cool
Since the Gods compare women to the Earth, when we say "cold current" or "warm current", it means that when u approach a woman and she's being stuck-up or cold, or has an attitude, we call that having a "cold current", and when women are nice after u approach them, or they comply to have a conversation, we call that having a "warm current". This is what it generally means, but in this line that sounds out of context of what GZA's rhyming about. Maybe thats what he meant, but I dont know. That's what it generally means tho.

It could mean that the double disc (Wu-Tang Forever) touched the 5 Percenters, because we undertand it the most, or it could mean that the double disc touched 5 in regards to album sales (Wu-Tang Forever wenr 4X Platinum, maybe more).

Yo, too advanced, Digi' stance, made the CD enhanced

i actually thought that this was "to advance digi's stance" as in "in order to advance rza's vision we made an enhanced cd"

See the logo? A monument in hip-hop
Carved out, in the giant landscape, of broken rocks

wu's logo is as recognizeable as mt. rushmore

Spotlight hits the metal mic, majority stare
Heard the Wu snare, while my iris cut down the glare

the industry is waiting to see what wu will do next. gza's eyeing them up

Walk a road the great length you find too long to measure

wu had a vision that nobody else could see

My Clan a make me rhyme like D. Banner under pressure

this could be a reference to "ice water" on ob4cl. gza spit a verse for that track. cappa then spit his verse that was tighter than gza's. cappa got on the track and gza went home pissed off.

No surprise, double disc touched five

gza has always said that a lot of his lyrics have multiple interpretations. i always assumed that it meant that wu-forever sold 5 million (it actuall went 4 platinum, but i think the figures are close to 5) but the 5% interpretation sounds logical to me.

    Those elements, kept environments colonized

could be speaking about the clan, the wu-fam, east coast rap, or hip-hop in general

with the high flyin death-defyin flow like the Rebel
Right there, but you're one light year, from my level

nobody is even close to gza in skill
