That 501 Gold beat is fire!!! I loved Ernest Movies as a kid, so that just took me back like 18 years.

This has a nice melody and vibe, but i ain't really feeling it as a beat for someone to rap to.
I feel it more like music for movie, not catchy enough.

I really feel that bassline, but i feel you could do much better, although the sample you had is probably hardest to work with. You might get my vote for the most original sample

The battle definitely turned out better this month. Shogah's assesment of the other beats is pretty accurate to my feelings even though I went with 501. It was just so hard to chose amongst quite a few of the jams. Do appreciate the feedback on mine though. Good lookin. Being even considered in anybody's temporary top 3 is a sign that I have a ways to go, but am on the right path.

and protechtyaneck for best use of a corny sample... it's funny, cause video game beats are done all the time and that shit ain't too original, but balloon fight? that took it a step further than the usual mario beat, hahaha.
