a lot of people dog the bboys for a variety of reasons. but 25 years in the game and still put out music that doesn't embarrass themselves, if anything its stuff they should be proud of, and people still want to listen to it?!?!
you don't find many rappers that put their first album out in 1986 that are still making quality music.
and the realist thing about them is they consistently did things the way they wanted. they never made any music to sound like anyone else, they never made music to make more money or get more fame. they kept it true to themselves more than most rappers and artists of any genre of music frankly.
"i might stick around or i might be a fad, but i wont sell my songs for no tv ad" - mca. that is artistic integrity right there. got the utmost respect for these guys.

been digesting this for the past 2 days.
its getting better to me with each listen, which is the sign of quality music in my opinion.
its got the trademarks of a quality beastie boys album. it has its own sound compared to past albums. its got some punk. its got a reggae/sublime esc song on there, its got an instrumental. the rap tracks are good and impressing me the more i listen. got a guest spot from the god Nas on a bit of a revamped 'too many rappers'.
its got that fuzzy sound from the check your head era. but its got current elctro (not techno, but its the best way I could describe it) sounding beats at times.
and comes together with the doo doo rhymes. bunch of dudes who don't take themselves seriously, but they take what they do seriously if you follow what im saying.
feeling it. 8/10 (as of now)

dont like it. wont buy it. few good tracks rest shit is boring and not interesting, they tried to do somthing like chek your head and ill communication, well they made similar sound but its not that good, noting new and original, they always used some original shit on they albums but this one sounds like mix of leftovers and Bsides. oh and to much of that fuckin autotune shit.
whole album is disappointment.
1st day buy, and Im pretty impressed. The first listen through didnt really do too much for me, but it keeps getting better and better with each play through.
Feels like a Check Your Head and Hello Nasty mixup.
