A Top 5 At Least. I Would Put Dre, Premo, And Prince Paul Ahead Of Rza. Remember Rza Did Not Create Soul Sampling. I Have To Admit He Took It To Another Level But I Have To Agree Biz Markie, Prince Paul, And King Tee Used Soul Sampling Long Before Rza. I Still Have To Admit Biz And De La Have Some Of The Greatest Sample Beats Of All Time.

imo premo is a much better producer he never comes weak where as rza does i love the old rza shit it's classic but nowadays i don;t regard him quite as much

I think premo has more consistancy but not as much versatility. The Rza could do a track like ice cream and then go do daytona 500 and then do run (ghostface or cappadonna both beats were ridiculous). dont forget about Kill Bill, there was some serious production (musicaly) in that movie. I say Rza but i am still not ruleing out premo.

I give it to Premier because he's been doing it for a long time and he is consistent. It could go either way though. I mean RZA has produced albums that were perfect with respect to the beats.

Premo has been consistant for 15 years, switching his style up nearly ever different Gangstarr album, while RZA started off great, then kinda struggled after the year 2000. I think RZA is finally getting back on track tho, but Premo for me, hes the greatest!

i totally understand those who choose premo over Rza, thats hardly a bad choice but i will say Rza wins this easily.

none of the stuff that premo has done comes anywhere near those first 7 albums Rza produced the bulk of. then you add the W, ghostdog, the first two bobby albums, world according to Rza. he has quantity(just as much material) and quality over premo.

premo's beats have become monotonous over the past few years. he makes the same stuff over and over again. its like he has the same bass pattern and snare and he just adds a different melody to it. Rza is way more diverse while making even iller beats than premo.

premier never attempted to to experiment with his sound which is why people say he didnt fall off and why i think he eventually fell into a rut. Rza took the chance to refine his craft and expand his production scope. when you do that, you're inevitably gonna have stuff not work out.

Rza was already better than premo after those first 7 wu albums and people agreed. it wasnt until forever when he tried something different(which people now appreciate) that people said he fell off cuz he wasnt making cuban linx/liquid sword beats. if Rza would've stuck with that style there would be no question who is the best.

the only thing premo got over Rza is that his work is much more well known than Rza. Rza didnt make beats for a lot of the bigtime mainstream artists like premo did. Rza focused more on his own crew and never really branched out until late and then he worked with a lot of overseas artists instead.

maad respect to premo, but he aint no Rza.
