Default Wu-Related--Is Dilla in your Top 10 Producers List????

Cause to me, dude was basically average at best......he had some above average beats, but for the most part, his beats were just very simple loops repeated every 5 seconds......and sometimes I question why Rae chose to have Dilla beats on his album......dude was FAR from having that dark, true Wu sound we are all used to.....

IMO Rae would have been better suited gettin someone like Havoc or someone like that if he wanted dark beats....my Top 10 is something like this....

    1) RZA
    2) Pete Rock
    3) Havoc
    4) Dr. Dre (his earlier stuff....)
    5) NoID (produced all those early, classic Common albums....)
    6) Kanye
    7) Just Blaze
    8) Alchemist
    9) 4th Disciple
    10) Hi-Tek

What do you all think? Was Dilla's beat worthy to be on CL2? Even tho his style doesnt really mesh well with Wu's sound???

    dilla's cool but pete rock>>>dilla
and yes you should listen to the InI album, it's a forgotten classic.
and no one was saying Dilla was revolutionary or an elite beatmaker until he died.
sorry, but that's a fact. he was just considered a talented but journeyman underground producer.
now because he died and the market has been flooded with posthumous beat tapes, suddenly he's a legend.
