Me- Yeah do you have Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Nintendo Wii?
E- Would you like it new or used?
M- It dosnt matter.
E- Alright one second sir.

E- the new is 49.99 and the used is 44.99
M- What new characters are in that game?
E- It has Sonic, Snake, MetaKnaight and plenty others.
M- Does is have Battletaods?

E- Sadly no, its a pretty straight forward game.
M- Are the graphics good?
E- Yeah theyre not 2D theyre 3Dish, and its really cool when you do a super move and lengthy combos.
M- Is Ryu in it? He told me hes not in it.

So I've recently read online about this 4chan/Ebaum/whatever the stupid hell meme about BATTLETOADS. Apparently it's been fun to call up GameStops and ask if they have Battletoads. I didn't think much of it, as I figured there's probably like 5 stores in the country getting harassed by a few internet nerds.

Today I was at the GameStop I used to work at, talking to my ex-coworkers and hey, the phone rings. My friend says, "I've gotten about 5 of these today, and yours is definitely the lamest."

I looked at him, confused, wondering what just happened. He looks at me and he says, "Battletoads?" I just started laughing my ass off after it hit me. So we started talking about it. Apparently for the past two weeks (and has gotten very bad the past couple days) both GameStops in that mall, the GameStop a town away, and two other GameStops past that one, have been getting the Battletoads harassing calls.

My friends who work there were telling me most of the time it's just annoying "DO YOU HAVE BATTLETOADS?" or "BATTLETOADS!" (followed by hanging up), but they mentioned a couple ones that made me laugh, including a girl calling, going on and on about what types of games her child might like for 360 and after like 4 minutes said, "What about Battletoads? I hear that's a good game.

Another one apparently asked questions about Smash Brawl's release and ended with, "Do you know if the Battletoads will be unlockable?"

But the one the manager of this GameStop told me even he thought was great. Someone called asking about DDR for Wii and finally asked, "Is the game compatible with webbed feet?"

So I really have to ask any GameStop employees on GAF, as I'm sure there's a few: is it hitting your stores as well? I don't know why the idea of GameStops across the country getting harassing calls about Battletoads amuses me so much, but it does."
