a.k.a. The RZA, The Grim Reaper and The Gatekeeper.
tracks 1 & 2 are Tricky tracks that don't have anything to do with The Gravediggaz. straight forward trip hop type stuff. track 3 sounds like ghosts moaning, or muffled voices of some sort, looped over and over with Grim Reaper chanting in the background, "Falling! Slowly Falling! Jesus Christ!". then an odd off kilter beat, which sounds like Tricky made it, comes in. this collabo track sounds more like Tricky than Gravediggaz. track 4 is the reason you want to get this though. Tricky's lethargic dub sounds mix with RZA's horrorcore to produce some demented hip hop. i can't tell if it's RZA or Grim who keeps saying throughout the track, "Throw your hands up in the air, today is a special day!". RZA speaks a little at the intro. then Gatekeeper comes in to drop some lyrics. Grim's next with some odd rhymes:
"...slow escapade
they wanna get paid
after the show
away we go
to the mo-
tel
oh well..."
Tricky then comes in at then end with some tripped out effects on his voice. the beat warps, echoes, stutters and then goes back to normal to heighten the effect. basically he sounds lit and there's a clip of him chanting in the background, "hmmmm, haaaaa, press record!"
i give this a 4.5 out of 5. one of my favorite records!
