I thought it was a pretty good album. There's some kind of forgettable production on it at times, but there's also some that bangs pretty hard. I know a lot of ppl will complain about how it's a pretty one dimensional album, but it was promoted as a battle rap album. I think that if ppl were willing to accept that new Double Barrel album so readily, then this should be given a chance. Still can't stand Joe Budden though. Terrible album cover as well. I was actually diggin on the original with the tied up pig. This one looks like the character selection screen from Mortal Kombat or something.

Average. Decent lyrics, forgettable beats, no replay value whatsoever

tight album. these cats just rip these beats, and its cool to see who ripped each song the best. almost like a competition.
the production is actually very good and sounds real nice in a system. the only real wack shit to me is the skits and cuckoo, but these guys even rip that song.
dont let the beef sway you, this is some good, solid hip hop.

It's something between good and a banger. Crooked I is MVP on this one without a doubt. I was thinking about buyin' it but I'll wait till price falls a lil' bit, instead of it I'm gonna get some Sean Price CDs this time.

I would rate this as a banger album. The only skip track that I found was Cuckoo. However, the main downfall was the production (although there are some beats that get absolutely murdered). I thought all emcees ripped it at one point, but I felt that Budden kept a few songs down with those simple rhymes he likes spittin sometimes. I’m looking forward to their next group album and solos. I just wish The Four Horsemen would release their anticipated album.

Top 5: Sound Off (fav), Lyrical Murderers, Onslaught 2, Salute, Rain Drops

    Grade: (3.7/5) B+

    Who killed it?
Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5'9, Joe Budden

I think Royce killed this whole CD with Crooked close behind him. Cuckoo is growing on me.

Voted Good b/c the production is so mediocre. How the fuck does Joe Buddens get better beats on his new shit than Slaughterhouse? Lyrical Murderers and Cut You Loose are the strongest tracks IMO
