Default The "reasons why RZA is the best producer ever" thread

when U-God says "1000 leagues beneath the sea" on Semi Automatic and RZA puts in that ill shit that you only realize you are blazed, fucks with the bass or whatever

on Shadowboxin when GZA goes "Amplified sample through vaccum tube compression cause RZA, to charge niggas 20 gs a session" and then RZA scratches the record and the "shadowboxin" sample hits right after meth comes in and its just too ill. realized this one once again when i was high in my car. thats usually where the dopeness of wu tang hits me.

the drums on unexplained/swordsman. the sample too. i guess the whole fucking beat. also the drums on careful.

    add your own.

i was actually thinking of making a thread about this today. but first off, i don't know if rza did the scratches and mixing for these songs, so...

but anyways here is why rza is the best producer.

rza produced every beat on 36 chambers - platinum record considered one of the best ever hip-hop albums

rza produced every beat on tical - platinum

rza produced every beat but i think 1 on return to the 36 - gold

rza produced every beat on 0b4cl - gold, considered one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time

rza produced all but 1 beat on liquid swords - gold considered one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time

rza produced all but 1 track on ironman - platinum

rza produced half of forever 4x platinum

rza produced almost all of bobby digital in stereo - gold

rza produced almost all of the w - platinum

rza produced almost all of iron flag - gold

not to mention all the other production work rza has done.

i always wondered if rza would have been a bigger producer if there wasn't a wu-tang. think of how many of those beats that he could have sold to other artists willing to pay big money for just one beat.

other than prince paul and primo, i don't think any producer comes close to this. a lot of dre's albums have used other producers and there's always been questions on whether or not dre's beats were actually produced by him.

sorry, maybe i'll just go make a great thread about a word wu-tang has used and the take the 3rd letter of the 2nd syllable to start another word that wu-tang has used. for instance...

atomically - take the m and you can now make the word mathematics. ok you're turn

unlike another often considered goat producer no one has ever stepped forward saying rza is sexually thirsting for his surrounding talent!!!!

quincy jones is s scary cat and rza got one up on him for that alone!!!

"I sold twenty million records bitch, some laugh!"

If he's not the illest producer ever he's without question the illest rapper/producer.

    hes the greatest producer coz

-of the transition between the "shoguns assasin" sample and the beginning of " liquid Swords"

    -the end of reunited

-bassline of wu aint nothing to fuck wit

-the whole " baby cmon" beat with all the noises in the background ( when i was blunted, i went just crazy ova that track)

    add on

-using the "guillotine" beat several times before actually using it, and it was probably best track/beat on OB4CL

-letting raekwon spit on 7th chamber pt2 for about 15s before that insane bass kicks in

Return to the 36 alone, the beats are so fucking ill and ahead of their time, the clarity is fucking magnificent, very crisp sound and the bass is bananas

same with the Mr. Sandman track - there's so much shit going on in the background its ridiculous
and The Stomp. It's hard to catch everything he does with that beat unless you listen to the instrumental. I got a new appreciation for it once I did.

That praise should be bestowed upon the violinist herself, not RZA.
