Yeah, I know it was kind of different; the general concensus seems to be that this was Killah Priest's sellout album but it still made its mark and served as a stepping stone for a then unknown pre Rocafella Just Blaze. I really did not like that fake ass Bone Thugs and Harmony song Live By The Gun though.

Understand the meaning of "sellout" before attributing the word to this album. It was a considered a decline since it came right after Heavy mental. Lyrically, there is nothing that classifies this album as sellout attempt. Different ? yes. I like a few songs on the album.

I guess anything can seem substandard after Heavy Mental.

the album is solid, i haven't bumped it for years but remember copping it right on it's release and liking it alot for what it was.. i had the 12" of "What Part of the Game" a while before and that got maaaad fucking rotation. that joint, the title-track and the Rose Family song (w/ intro) are personal classics.

Bought it the week of it's release, and have never listened to it since. Thought it was ass. I remember laughing my ass off at some producer on several tracks calling himself LZA.

I really liked a few songs back then. I would have to go back to it.

Maccabean Revolt was definitely a banger.

This was average, priest was all over the place on here.
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

    sh1t was awful

one of the worst follow-ups to a classic ever, its his worst album. Priest had a bad run there for a while..
