to me hardware has software 2. cause they have built in software ...but no matter what hardware u use ur still gonna lay it down and put it all together with software...the only things i call hardware are actual instruments like a trumpets tampini the grand piano and so on.
software is a computor program like majix protools and so on...erap is right with all hardware is ran by software within but still its a hardcase you take that shit with you..16 bit shit..no mouse clicking no draggin tracks no visuals of any layout..basically mathmatical counts..FL is wear i started fuckin with beats..no knock..i dont knock gear just ears...personally i dont use pc's for beats or mixing or anything like that for years now..for one shits to easy anyone can create like that...fuck the noiseness of a computor overheating or wack plugins..i feel everyone just copts some software and think theyre some fuckin producer or something..i got news your not..but lets get some hardware battles no pc beats ahhaha...except uploading your joint onto here or wherever...lets get it..peace sons

most professional producers use both, which is logical..you should always use all the tools you have at your disposal, you aren't proving anything...no one cares about anything except how shit sounds...Just Blaze has been all digital for a long time

Honesty I think that discussion is pointless and over done throughout the net. I am also apart of 3 other forums in which i am also quite active and people have this conversation all the time.
What it comes down to is.. is your beat trash? or is your beat on fucking point? If you are only using software... is your mix on point... is there a nice bottom, or is it sounding flat?? To me that is the only problem with cats that use only software... they dont know the basics of mixing your beat down. VST's are Gold... USE THEM!
A hot beat is a hot beat. I have heard so many wack beats from cats who think they are killing shit because they have an mpc... then you hear cats who use strictly a software programs accompanied with a midi remote like an AKAI MPK, and are shitting on them.
So lol. @ cats that use software to make beats arent real producers. That would make me and a whole bunch of ill cats on the corp, and all over the net fake ones also haha. I do hear what Exxxon (Shiek) is trying to say, on some trying to keep it all hands on... but as we all know...there is no notebook way to produce.

So a person with product of Roland or MPC or etc.. if you have hardware, you're a producer? Just like a "so-called" producer with software.. both have to load their samples into the equipment.. one a computer, the other a machine.. well, both are technically machines.. I dont see the difference to be honest. Long discussion short, I produce better than millions and millions out their with hardware with my FL demo versions each and every time.. and the way I utilize FL, the cutting takes FOREVER to make as perfect and on point as it sounds.. FL is waayy more complicated than you think, thats not to knock hardware cats or hardware either.. Lets not get Soulja Boy's use of the FL product twisted with how it should really be used lol.. I'm the KING of this FL program.. and Im not trying to boast, I jus love and know it more than most..

Yeah I read that part...that was the part where you contradicted yourself.
And yeah, stupid kids making bad beats with wack rhymes and diluting hip hop is bad, but attaching that to "software" or anything else is just ignorant. It's all about essence and vibes, not meaningless categorizations and "rules" about what constitutes being real.
It's all about the sound not the interface or the rubber pads.. Every hardware sampler has a different character (warmth/sound) depending on the circuitry and filters etc.. obviously these parts won't be included in computers. that's why i switched from software to hardware..
