I won't front. This album was bananas when it came out but since his track record has been so pathetic since, when i listen to it now it just doesn't have the same vibe.

I remember when this album came out, its like he just came outta nowhere.

A listened to some hip-hop during 92-97 when I when I first started getting into music with some rock and other stuff. In 98 is when I got my first real job so I could afford to buy 2 CDs a week so this album was playing daily. That was the year that hip-hop started having more than 1 CD bin in the record store and wasnt hidden at the back.

LOL@Angry saying his 2nd and 3rd albums are good hahahahahahahaha. None of DMX's albums are good LOL. His first album has some hard joints but i wouldn't say it's a classic. Ruff Ryders Anthem, Fuckin With D, Get At Me Dog, Stop Being Greedy, ATF and the song that comes after How's It Going Down is hard. What's the name of the song that comes after How's It Going Down? LOL@DMX makes me laugh when he barks like a dog hahahahahahahahahaha. A friend of mine has some old unreleased songs by DMX before he signed with Def Jam. I wanna get those songs from him. I remember seeing a old picture of him in The Source magazine before he got a record deal. So i know that he was doing music before he came out in 1998.

    Classic shit.

The only DMX album I could have no regrets in purchasing. All the others are missing that special something that IDAHIH has.

    Wack as fuck.

    Got ya bitches.

Damien, Intro, Ruff Ryders(I was like 5 when this single dropped? Had me possessed with criminal thoughts), ATF. Excellent album. Saying it's a classic is debatable.

    EDIT:4got bout Stop being greedy

Some of you fools be acting like this AINT one of the best fucking debut albums from any rapper ever. This album is fucking hard. I really don't like Swizz Beatz which is why I don't think FOMF is even remotely close to this album. Dame Grease hit the ball out of the park with the production here.
