Default Name your Top 5-10 hip-hop albums!!

ive been listenin to Hip-Hop for about 5 years, the wu 3 years. i got 153 hip-hop cd's if i remember correctly. and out of those, i have several albums which are supposed to be classics. IMO they're not. i dont know why, i wish i did feel they were classics but im just not crazy mad on em so much i call em classics!.

anyway, these aint necessarily (spelling) classics but so far in my 5 year hip-hop history, they r albums ive decided i can call top 5-10 that ive heard.
i can't decide in what order i like em, except for No.1!!

    1. Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) (no dickriding, its a straight up classic)
7L & Esoteric - DC2:Bars Of Death (near classic IMO)
Eminem - Infinite (the lyrics mate, the lyrics!)
Masta Killa - No Said Date (near classic IMO)
    Jurassic 5 - Jurassic 5 LP
(Inspectah Deck - The Movement - i supose so)
Gang Starr - Moment Of Truth (& possibly The Ownerz)

Ummm....i think that's it. if i put more in it'll just be getting weak, like albums that i think r really dope like Apathy - Where's Your Album!? (i know its a mixtape) and i don't think a top X amount of albums list should be like that.

i'd post my album list but y'all will just hate cos of the so called classics i aint put in my list!

lol.......................damn u only been listening 2 hiphop for 5 yearz???? thatz krazy!!! Ur like a newborn baby to this culture! U have sooo much more to learn and experience! Go back and study the history of it! I mean go back to the very beginning when it all started in the south Bronx back in the 70's with Dj Kool Herc , Grand Master Flash and Dj Hollywood! Then go up from there!

Not 2 be ignorant or anything but it just soundz krazy 2 me when u say u only been listening 2 hiphop for 5 yearz??? That just soundz so recent. I've been listening to hiphop since '83-84..........so i already got like 22+ yearz under my belt! Itz too bad u missed out on that "Real hiphop era" back in the 80's!!! It was a beautiful time! Probably never 2 be seen again?

U missed a slew of classicz that should be mentioned!

well i apreciate you not slamming me for it. trust mate, i live, eat, breath hip-hop, its what im basing my future career on. im studying media, my 3rd n final year in college, i did wanna be a sport journalist but now i wanna be a music journalist. trust mate, im out to knock Tim Westwood off his spot, don't get me wrong i respect the guy but he just doesnt play any real hip-hop, no wu, J5, JMT, Gang starr, nas (hardly), big l/pun, canibus, kkol g rap, so on and so forth.

i know (all) about Dj Kool Herc he's from jamaica, grandmaster flash - it was suposedly cowboy who give the name 'Hip-Hop' i'm always out to learn about hip-hop. ive read and read and read numerous timelines n shit. shit i even done an essay which included info about the birth of hip-hop. Run DMC discovered beastie boys, russel simmons is the half brother or Run, Russel started Def Jam. hip-hop music comes from raggea, it started out as people jus sayin the odd rhymin line over a reggea beat, then breakbeats were made, scratching n mcing came forward n developed more etc. Run DMC were the first for loada things, first to go multi- platinum, gold, first rappers on cover of rolling stone magazine, first to have a chart hit. first to do rock/rap - walk this way.

so i might be knew but i have a great knowledge on hip-hop IMO. im soooo pissed i missed this great era too!!!!! i don't buy much new hip-hop, im always buyin cd's from late 80's thru to the late 90's by run dmc, p.e., the wu, gang starr, nas.

plus im 18 so i'd of been *thinkin* about 3 years old in this great hip-hop era, not even old enuf to understand music!!!
