In the summers the last two years I've been a full-time roofer.

Over the last winter I worked as a customer service agent full-time for a few months.

Eventually I sold my car and used my savings to move out and find my own place and found a job for a few months working as a milk skid prep (unionized). I quit that job last month because I bucked under school, gym and work that I had no time to devote myself politically.

I'm living okay off of my savings. I'll have to find another job during my winter break.

Marxism is the ideology that devotes itself to classlessness, a sense of freedom from economic oppression and the common ownership of the means of production by the masses.

How is there anything based on "better values" than that?

What's ridiculous is you cite America as an example without realising that the independent state of America was founded on the reaction to economic oppression from Britain; an economic oppression so deep that in order to recreate themselves as free people, they had to form a state independent of British rule.

So too is the case with any group seeking emancipation from their rulers, economic or political, capitalist or socialist. Marxism has a million truths, but it boils down to one sentence: "It is right to rebel!"

You assume that I don't fucking work 6-7 days a week, 50+ hours slaving away in a fucking kitchen only to constantly be told I suck and I need to do more and the company needs you to work and never question.

I am no fan of capitalism and in fact, I at one time quite liked the idea of communism.
