    Default Any Rakim info?

I've been listening to a lot of Eric B and Rakim lately and realized I don't know much about them. Does anyone have any stories or history on Rakim (besides wikipedia stuff)?

he said in a interview the reason he doesn't collaborate very often with other rappers is because people tend to judge you based on who you associate with and you never know which MC's turn out to be phonies.

rumours say Rakim was actually the MC, producer AND DJ of alot of the two first Eric B & Rakim albums.

while all the Eric B & Rakim albums are credited to the artist themeselves as producers rumours say Marley Marl did alot of work on the 1st, The 45 King laced most of the 2nd, Paul C produced most of the 3rd and when he died Large Professor finnished his work and he also did the bulk of the beats on the 4th and last LP.

The Main Source song "Snake Eyes" was a jab at Eric B and Rakim since Large Pro didn't get enough money for the uncredited work he did on their albums.

Rakim used to say in interviews that he never lost a battle in his entire life, something Freddie Foxxx would disagree with which caused him to record a few diss songs aimed at Ra. i don't think Rakim ever responded though.

"had the first 1 million dollar contract in rap - 'The 18th Leter' did that".

Besides the producers on '18th Letter', Diamond D, DJ Scratch and a few others also contributed beats but didn't make the final album.

the song "I'm Back", produced and featuring Lil' Fame of MOP is iller than most songs on 'The 7th Seal' and Rakim should be ashamed he didn't include it in the final tracklist.
