Default Where does Muddy Waters stack up amongst the classic albums !!!!

I know everybody knows that Muddy Waters is a straight crack rock banga but I was just listening to it again and just said to myself damn this album is tight, and how many dope tracks the album has even after all these years...really redman shouldn`t release number 2 (even though I want it) because he has to much to live up to...but yeah I just wanna know where Muddy Waters stacks up amongst the classic`s.

    peace be with you !

It's a great album but doesn't stack up to classic albums such as Wu their debut and all those Wu solos , Mobb Deep their first 2 albums , absolutely not to Eminem his first two albums etc. etc. It's just a great album but not really a classic in my opinion, that word "classic" gets thrown around too often in my opinion....

Its a classic in my opinion.

I love Redman, and this was his peak. Also the production on MW was straight illness.

I don't know, i probably prefer Dare Iz A Darkside to Muddy Waters.

And Whut The Album would be about equal with it.

Not sure if many people would consider it a classic, but it's great.

Redman does get under rated a fair bit it seems, he has a pretty impressive catalog compared with a lot of mc's who are touted as top 10.

yeah "Muddy Watters" is a real great album but i would say that "Whuut?! The Album" is an iller record. i don't know how i would rank it but i would have it in my top-50 hip-hop albums of all time.

its a great album a classic redman album as his 1st 4 albums are very dope but i agree with Claaa7, that Whut the Album + Dare iz a Darkside are as grimy as they come

Redman actually admitted to being on shrooms for the recording of 'Darkside' not acid

i think muddy waters is redman at his absolute peak and easily my favorite album of his!!!!

the flows were varied, the songs were catchy, it had classic production that you loved off one listen, and redman doesnt have a dull moment on the whole disc!!!!!

dare iz a darkside is a classic album imo in its own right, shit was raw as hell!!!!! but muddy waters is just more varied, its got some goofy shit, raw shit, posse cuts, smokin jams, everything a person has come to expect in a red record was perfected on that disc!!!!!!

it stands with any other release of the time and is always gonna bang!!!!

id put it in amongst the rest of hip hop classics, i personally enjoy Dare Iz a Darkside more, but both are classics imo

Redman is a the most consistent mc, damn near all his material is high end quality
