After dropping three hard rock head nod hip hop compilations, the Snowgoons drop their lastest album, The Trojan Horse. With vets like La Coka Nostra, Reef The Lost Cauze, Heltah Skeltah, Buckshot, El Da Sensei and international emcees like Sifu Versus. And the well rounded production of the Snowgoons brings a coheisive album that is wrapped up in tight knit flows from the emcees.

On tracks like “Hey Young World” with La Coka Nostra & Heltah Skeltah bringing a grimy sound to the old school Slick Rick tune. Yet the flow and the punches from both groups make the song sound like a dope update without sounding rehashed. Even with tracks like “Krush University” featuring Krush Unit & Freestyle where both emcees goes in hard body. But the standout on the album isn't the pure glare of the rhymes on this album or the way the emcees structure their rhymes and lines, It's just the pure drum programing of the Snowgoons comes really into play on all there material which all have that “horrid” sounding thumping 90's flare of hip hop that doesn't seem dated nor dead at any point.

Overall I'm going to give this album, a 4 out of 5 because of its pure energy and flavor they bringing. But if you like hardcore hip hop, battle rap or pure dope underground hip hop that will feel like you in an old movie like “Clash of the Titans”. Then this album is for you because of the fact they sneaking through backdoor that's hitting the audience over the head with dope albums, that just keeps getting spurred out. The only beef with the Snowgoons like Stoupe of JMT they seem content to be one thing instead of branching out and cultivating a larger audience with much more different emcees.

OVERALL 4 OUT OF 5
