'Hurricane Season' Headed Straight To DVD

Hurricane Season, the basketball film starring Lil Wayne and Bow Wow, will not be hitting big screens as planned. According to Woooha, the film's placement on the big screen was cancelled due to financial constraints faced by the company releasing the flick.

Hurricane Season will be available on DVD exclusively at Blockbuster stores this week.

As reported earlier, Hurricane Season is set in New Orleans during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and focuses on a high school basketball coach (played by Forest Whitaker) who takes his team of displaced students from various city schools to a state championship.

The film's cast also includes Isaiah Washington, Taraji P. Henson, Jackie Long and J.B. Smoove.
