What is good people? Hope your holidays went well!

Here is a little something to ring in the new year. It's my first SP tape and the mixing is still rough, but I got some cool tracks brewing so far using the 404 with my MPD24.

    Peace.

Just finished the tape. You elevated heavy. Dope sample work, and drum work all around. One thing i was looking to hear was some of usage of the other features of the sp,other than vinyl sim and lo fi. Keep doing your thing Irie. Enjoyed the tape.

cosign 12weLve, this is some heavy elevation right here. i guess the SP will do that to cats lol.

im still vibin to this, so i will drop some of my favourites later, but damn there are some fire beats on here.

AppaLoosa is on of the illest, props on the old jazz samples.

Appreciate the feedback so far...12welve has been schooling me on the ways of the SP, so I have his guidance in part to thank for helping smash shit out the gate.

Peace Bronze! Appaloosa is one of my favs too...Everybody likes them old jazz samples. Track 3 is another Chet Baker joint as well. My brother has an ill jazz collection, so I got a good source to choose from while my turntable is down for now.

Peeped this today. My favorite joint was Beyond All Frequencies, had me zoning the most. Whatever Possessed Me was fresh too, I like your down tempo stuff. Billy The Beaut had a cool Sinister vibe, the right emcee could do a lot with that beat if they were to step outside the box and not just come with the standard grimey rhymes.

Thanks for checking out the tape Sin. I'm glad you scoped a few tracks you could vibe with.

yo the first three joints are flames

Ruined Castle is tight and War Journels is raw.

Dope tape overall, co sign 12 on the use of effects but as you are learning the SP still im sure more will get used, especially for beat tapes, too many effects is overwhelming though, imo. i think you design your tapes so cats can pick some beats and rhyme, not just listening purpose, so the low amount of effects is dope for that. sometimes that throughs cats off

but these are well crafted in the mix and have a dirty sound.

    Peace Irie

Nice tape man! I'm digging the vinyl-sim climate

As it's your first sp beattape - I must say Im impressed. Try to apply some more sp-crazy-effects next time, and maybe try to hook up your mpd to "midi in" so that you can play without no quantization ( Playing with 404's pads is pretty hard comparing to any other pads, but of course nothing is impossible, we do that too )

my favorite joint is "Whatever possesed me"

    peace!
