Default 20 Essential Films of the Last Decade That People Must See

i've pretty much avoided going to watch films for about a decade.

i went to see sherlock holmes the other week and it was ok but i wasn't impressed.

what movies would you say are the best to watch? no horror shit, please. i don't like horrors, Alice In Wonderland is horror enough for me, and i can't wait for the remake. i don't like gory horror.

i've heard a lot of people talk about broke back mountain, that millionaire one and i can't even think of another.

    suggestions please.

I recommend Sin Nombre, a great little indie flick which came out last year.

i saw the lord of the rings trilogy on tv a few years ago. the last one was epic. could have done without the gay bedroom scene at the end but still a good film.

    that pan's labryrinth sounds interesting.

i just watched the trailer, and i'll say i would've watched this if i hadn't seen once were warriors. that film made my heart sink, i can't watch it again and i don't think i could face watching similar films.

i've seen donnie darko, it was good but it made me paranoid, which is not so good.

i still need to get around to watching eternal sunshine. i said that about the notebook too but i can't be arsed to watch any silly sentimental crap. is eternal sunshine anything like the notebook?

It's a surreal love story so no, not really. Once is a silly sentimental story so you may not like it, but it has good music.
