I thought they handled the character well. The movie could have use better, longer action scenes.

steve rogers was too earnest and devoid of personality, should've injected him with more basassery like cap in the ultimates...movie was pretty cool though.
peggy carter was smoking.
wack movie
^why is that, chief?
I agree with this.
I saw it today and I must say I enjoyed it a lot, besides a few geeky nitpicks I actually thought they did a brilliant job as a whole but like warpath said, it could have used some better longer action scenes. All of the "big" set pieces were just too brief and not really what I would expect from a blockbuster movie.
Overall I would give it an 8/10. I really got into it, they delivered on the Cap I wanted to see (CA is one of my personal faves) and I really liked the whole vibe of the flick.

I digged it, felt sorry for my dude at the end, he's probably still a virgin, lol. Carter all shriveled up now.........or dead. Should of hit when he had the chance, lol
i know, when it came to the final scene with nick fury i thought, "damn. caps a 90 something year old virgin." lol
cap ends up fucking her granddaughter in the comics though. better late than never i suppose.
movie was good, for real. i liked thor slightly better, but thats because it had more action than cap. they handled the character really well.
red skull was a bit of a pussy. always running when shit got thick. i had an issue with this at first, but hes pretty much the same way in the comics too.
and there wasnt the amount of action i thought a captain america movie would have. they still told a good story, just wish there was a bit more action.
the real high point for me was chris evans as cap. he did a great job. much better than i thought he would. not once did i see the smart ass from the fantastic 4 movies. he was steve rogers. he knocked that shit out of the park, for real.
I felt the same way about Reynolds as Green Lantern, him & Evans are stereotyped as smart wise cracking jackasses in their movies, there like 1 person. I was afraid those traits would come out with Cap or Hal and thankfully they both changed my mind with their respective movies
isn't sharon carter aunt... peggy? since they mentioned it in captain america #1
movie was good too another solid film from marvel.

Saw this finally, pretty good but could have been better I thought.
I think the main problem for me was that this felt a lot of the time like it only existed to build up the Avengers film.
Think I'd rate the films so far in this order of illness...
1/ Ironman I
2/ Thor
3/ Capt. America
4/ Ironman II
5/ Hulk

^^^I wasn't a massive fan of Ironman 2 overall (although I did enjoy it better second time round) but thought Mickey Rourke did a great job which edges it for me over Hulk.
